APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #0518 FOR SHINGLED ROOF INSTALLATION AND REPAIR SERVICES
Description
Bids to provide 'Shingled Roof Installation and Repair Services' were received from nine vendors on August 4, 2009. The bids of Sutter Roofing Company of Florida as the primary vendor and Consumer Roofing Industries, Inc., as the secondary vendor were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. The bid of THL Enterprises, Inc., was non-responsive to the requirement to commence work no later than 12 hours after notification to proceed. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department.
Recommendation
That the bids of Sutter Roofing Company of Florida as the primary vendor and Consumer Roofing Industries, Inc., as the secondary vendor, to provide 'Shingled Roof Installation and Repair Services' in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
